From Japan With Love
The Japanese are better known for their sushi than for their electro. But enough of my sweeping racist generalities, let me introduce (if you don't already know) to you two Japanese exports that always catch my ear. Shinichi Osawa and 80Kidz. Electro heavyweights usually come from one of two places: Australia or France. I don't make the rules, I just observe them. It's always refreshing hearing great music from places/people you'd least suspect. Kind of the way I felt when I found out Mayer Hawthorne was white (he deserves a post unto himself but i'm lazy right now). I don't know why it makes the music that much more appealing but it does. Maybe it's the novelty factor on top of already great music.
